I recently started playing the online demo for Battlefield 2142, much like its predecessors, it is extremely fun to play with 16+ people.
The game is much more detailed than battlefield 2. It has much eye candy in it, from the very hands that hold your gun to the very hand that holds the gun that shot you in the head. Everything is looked over and artistically made so that your eyes just have fun by watching it.
A few new game modes embrace the game, such as Titan, where each team has to destroy the other teams "Titan" to win. A Titan is a super weapon ship, one which has a shield which must be destroyed using anti-titan missiles. After the shield is destroyed, the opposing team could let the anti-titan missiles destroy the titan, or they can go in and sabotage it themselves. A very fun and interesting multiplayer game mode.
From what I found, much of the actual multiplayer is like Battlefield 2. While the look is different, everything still feels the same. But since Battlefield 2 was such a good game, it carries over to Battlefield 2142.
After playing the demo, I can not wait for the full version. Neither should you.
